Dandadan Season 2 aired in 2025, not 2026. It ran 12 episodes from 4 July to 19 September 2025 at Science SARU. A third season has been announced and is scheduled for 2027, again at Science SARU, with no date given.
This page was rewritten on 3 October 2026 after a fact check. An earlier version said the Season 2 release date “has been locked in for July 2026, placing it squarely in the Summer 2026 anime season”. That was a year out.
The record, both seasons
| Season 1 | 12 episodes, 4 October to 20 December 2024 |
| Season 2 | 12 episodes, 4 July to 19 September 2025 |
| Season 3 | 2027, no date announced |
| Studio | Science SARU, all three seasons |
Nothing from this series aired in 2026. If you were waiting through the summer for a season that was supposedly scheduled, it had already been and gone the year before.
Season 3: what is confirmed
Science SARU returns and the season is listed for 2027. No month, no episode count, no staff changes announced, and no streaming arrangement confirmed beyond what the earlier seasons used.
The gap is in line with how this production works. Season 1 ran in autumn 2024, Season 2 in summer 2025, so roughly nine months apart, and a 2027 slot puts a longer break after Season 2 than there was after Season 1. Science SARU has kept the look distinctive across both, which tends to cost time.
What Season 2 covered
Season 2 runs the exorcism of Jin “Jiji” Enjouji’s family home, which goes wrong in the way everything in this series goes wrong, and an attempted abduction that Momo only just escapes. Jiji joining the group properly changes the shape of it, and the season leans on that rather than on new spectacle.
Twelve episodes again, the same as Season 1, so the two seasons sit together as a 24 episode block.
One thing that causes confusion
Both seasons are twelve episodes and both are numbered from 1, so episode counts quoted online rarely agree. Some trackers run them continuously as episodes 1 to 24 while the broadcast numbering restarts. If a guide tells you Season 2 episode 15 exists, it is using continuous numbering for what the broadcast called episode 3.
Where to watch
Netflix and Crunchyroll both carried the series, with availability varying by country. Twenty four episodes is a short catch up before 2027, and because both seasons are complete there is nothing to wait on.
What was corrected on this page
- It said the Season 2 release date was “locked in for July 2026”. Season 2 aired July to September 2025.
- It placed the season in the Summer 2026 lineup. Nothing from this series aired in 2026.
- It attributed the date to the official Dandadan anime account. The account did not announce a 2026 date.
- A comparison table listed other 2026 series with episode counts that do not match their actual broadcasts. Removed.
- The key visual was captioned as being from the third season while the page discussed the second. Images are now labelled by the season they belong to.
- Season 3 is now covered, since it is announced and is what most readers arriving here are looking for.
