Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 finished its first half on Sunday 27 September 2026, and the staff used the same evening to confirm what everyone was waiting to hear: the second cour arrives in 2027. No month yet, but the arc is known, the new cast is known, and both theme songs are out. Here is what is actually confirmed, checked against AniList and the production’s own announcement rather than guessed.
When does Mushoku Tensei Season 3 Part 2 come out?
Part 2 is scheduled for 2027. The announcement came in a video on 27 September, minutes after the first cour ended, and AniList lists the continuation as a separate entry dated 2027 with Studio Bind still producing. A specific month has not been given, so anyone quoting you a date right now is guessing.
That matters because of how this production splits its seasons. Season 2 ran its first cour in summer 2023 and its second in spring 2024, a gap of about nine months. If Season 3 follows the same rhythm, a spring or summer 2027 return is the reasonable expectation. We will update this page the moment the production names a date.

What Part 2 will cover
The second cour adapts the Eris Training Arc, which begins in volume 13 of Rifujin na Magonote’s novels. Anyone who has read that far knows why the announcement landed the way it did: it is the stretch that finally deals with Eris properly rather than leaving her off screen, and it sets up the shape of the rest of Rudeus’s story.
The first cour spent its back half on the Chaos Breaker arc, which started with episode 8 on 16 August. So the split is clean. One cour closed a storyline, the next opens a new one, and you are not left dangling mid arc for a year.

How Season 3 Part 1 ran
Part 1 ran 14 episodes between 4 July and 27 September 2026 on Tokyo MX and BS11. The late night slot is why you will see the debut listed as 5 July in some places: it is the same broadcast, just past midnight.
Fourteen episodes is slightly longer than the usual twelve, and the season used the extra room rather than padding. The first half worked through the aftermath of Season 2, and from episode 8 the Chaos Breaker arc took over and carried the cour to its close.

Why the split, and how it compares to Season 2
Studio Bind has now used the same structure twice. Season 2 aired 13 episodes in summer 2023, paused, then came back with 12 more in spring 2024. Season 3 has done the same thing at a slightly larger scale: 14 episodes across July to September 2026, then a break, then a second cour in 2027.
It is worth understanding why, because the complaint you see online every time is that the show has been “delayed”. It has not. A split cour is planned from the start and booked as one production, which is how a single small studio keeps a consistent look across a 26 episode run instead of shipping a visibly weaker back half. The alternative, on this series’ track record, would be worse.
There is a practical upside too. Because the first cour closed the Chaos Breaker arc rather than stopping mid fight, the break lands at a natural seam. You can finish Part 1, put the show down, and pick Part 2 up next year without rewatching anything.
New cast and the theme songs
Three names joined for the new season. Ai Kakuma plays Eris Boreas Greyrat, which is the casting that matters most given what Part 2 adapts. Haruka Tomatsu plays Nina Farion and Tetsu Inada plays Gal Farion.
They sit alongside the regulars: Yumi Uchiyama and Tomokazu Sugita share Rudeus between the child and the inner voice of his previous life, Ai Kayano plays Sylphiette, Konomi Kohara plays Roxy Migurdia, and Shion Wakayama plays Shizuka Nanahoshi.
The opening is “Ketsui no Uta” by Yuiko Ohara. The ending is “Inori, Owareba” by Mika Nakashima, with lyrics and music written by Shinoda, guitarist and vocalist of Hitorie, who also wrote Season 2’s second opening “On The Frontline”. Yoshiaki Fujisawa continues to score the series.

The Part 2 announcement video
The video below is the one that confirmed 2027. It is worth watching for the arc tease at the end rather than the date card.

Where to watch
Crunchyroll streamed Season 3 as it aired in Japan and carries an English dub, so the first cour is available there now in both forms. Netflix also lists the series. If you are starting from scratch, the running order is Season 1, the Cour 2 special, Season 2 and its Part 2, then Season 3.
For the novels, Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the English editions, and volume 13 is where Part 2 picks up if you would rather read ahead than wait for 2027.

What to expect from the gap
A year between cours sounds long, and it is, but this production has never rushed. Studio Bind was built around this adaptation and the quality has stayed remarkably level across three seasons, which is rare for a long isekai. The trade is time, and on current form it is worth paying.
If you want something to fill the wait, our weekly anime schedule tracks every airing series with next episode times, and the October 2026 premiere guide covers what starts next.
