Dragon Ball DAIMA Season 2 has not been announced. There is no date, no teaser, no production confirmation and no statement from Toei Animation. Anything presenting a 2026 or 2027 premiere as scheduled is guessing.

Twenty episodes is short for a Dragon Ball series, which is part of why people assumed more was coming. A short run is not evidence of a sequel.
The one real straw people are clutching at
Crunchyroll’s Blu-ray set is called The Complete Season rather than The Complete Series. Fans noticed, and it is a fair thing to notice, because the wording on a home release is sometimes chosen with the future in mind.
It is also just packaging copy. It is not an announcement, nobody at Toei has pointed to it, and reading a sequel into a product title is how most of the false dates on this subject started.
Why a sequel is plausible anyway
Daima was conceived with Akira Toriyama closely involved, and it ended on a note that leaves room rather than closing the door. Dragon Ball as a franchise does not stay quiet for long. None of that is a schedule, and the franchise’s current animation effort is visibly going into Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, which began airing in October 2026.
