October 2: The Apothecary Diaries Season 3
The most-tracked premiere of the season by a wide margin. Maomao and Jinshi return in a split-cour third season (Part 2 is listed for April 2027) that pushes the story beyond the inner court, with an original movie, Bouhi no Hihou, opening in Japan on December 11 between the two halves. October 3: Tokyo Revengers Season 4 and Black Clover
Tokyo Revengers: Santen Sensou-hen adapts the manga’s final major arc, the three-way war between Brahman, Rokuhara Tandai and Mikey’s Kanto Manji Gang, nearly three years after the Tenjiku arc ended. It is the franchise’s chance to close on a high. Full guide →

October 4: the busiest night of the season
Three of the season’s biggest sequels premiere within hours of each other on Sunday, October 4:
- Blue Box Season 2 — the Fall season’s most-anticipated romance moves to Electric Circus for its second season, streaming on Netflix.
- Aoashi Season 2 — a confirmed 24-episode run on NHK, four years after Season 1, adapting the B-team-to-A-team climb from a manga that finished in 2025.
- Ranma ½ Season 3 — MAPPA’s remake enters its third October in a row with the original 1989 cast, on Netflix worldwide.
If you only follow one platform, note the split: Blue Box and Ranma ½ are Netflix, while Aoashi has not confirmed an international home yet (Season 1 was on Crunchyroll).
October 7: Magic Knight Rayearth (2026)
